NA-T questions

I plan on buying a turbo car, engine with a BHG and swapping this into my current N/A.

First question is does anyone know any good machine shops around massachusetts, I plan on getting the head resurfaced at least.

Also... any other machine work that won't cost that much I should look into? Will the block surface need to be cleaned or can I do that with time and cleaning?

The other question is should I use my N/A head or the turbo head... after reading it seems that the N/A and it's cams will allow for higher compression, and I don't plan on boosting more than stock, so will a mhg take the higher compression plus boost, or should I stick with the turbo head?

Please post any othe recomendations you have

Thanks

First off you have a lot of reseach to do.

Ill try and shed dome light on the questions you asked. There's more you need to know, beyond what you've asked. Use the turbo head, na camshafts are meant for an na head and they suck when paired with a turbo. Both the head and block need to resurfaced in order to seal a MHG which you'll need. A MHG doesn't not have to chage your comp at all. It depends on how much is removed for the head and compensating for that.

OK... so anyone know a good machine shop around Boston and what kind of prices might I be looking at? Would it seal if I used a composite with just the head resurfaced? or would it depend on the situation?

I do have a lot of research to do, and I'm sure i'll have lots of questions to ask, I'm learning as I go... I figure the car doens't run so I have nothing to lose. Engine is coming out of my N/A April 18th and I hope to pick up a turbo parts car that same week.

So far I have most of the engine disonnected... still have to remove some electrical connections, speedo cable, slave cylinder, and a few other things.

One question I do have is how to bust the crank bolt lose... can't use the starter trick at this point... I know they make specific holders for cars but i cannot seem to find one for the supra, anyone know a part number, or know any other tricks? After reading some recomend a strap wrench and some recomend jaming things into the pulley...
