NA-T conversion. Exhaust upgrade

Background: Last summer, my '89NA engine finally broke down with 450,000 kms on the odometer, giving me the justification to swap in a 7M-GTE, like I've been wanting to do for 10 years.

The donor engine came from a 1987 MA71, along with the wiring harness, ECU, IC and downpipe. The rear exhaust on the donor car was unusable, and so I kept the exhaust from my NA.

I purchased a new LIPP elbow, RT downpipe (Racing eliminates both cats) and Tanabe hyper medallion exhaust, which got here right after the New Year.

I like the shot of the two exhaust systems side by side. I figure that if there really is some power in exhaust systems, this ought to prove it.

Well, some SOTP impressions:

The turbo spools up quicker, holds boost better, and pulls all the way to redline without choking. There's more boost available as well. Very nice when it's cold outside. The car feels stronger that I thought that it could without a turbo upgrade.

There are a few people out there who told me that this would happen. I didn't believe them. I owe a few aplologies...

awesome! so.........video? i have yet to see a good video with one on a turbo 7m. I have the exhaust sitting in my closet waiting to go on.
