hey whats up, just wondering if the NA supra oil filter thread pitch(on the filter side) is the same as the filter used on the turbo cars.

if so would i be able to get the stud from toyota, and screw that into my block and put my reloaction plate right onto the stude and completely elimanate the oil filter housing on the turbo car, becuase the way i have it set up now is i have the stock oil cooler location blocked off and i have the relocation plate screwed onto the housing, and so on

id like to find a way to screw the relocation plate directly to the block and eliminate the housing but i would like to know before hand if the thread pitch on the filter side is the same as the turbo cars and is the stud long enough to screw this adapter plate on safely

thanks shaeff, i found that earlier, one more question, are the GE and GTE blocks indentical, because i tried a stud that came with a filter set before and i wasnt catching enough threads on the adapter plate, so all in all the stud i have is only an inch and a half long, if it wasnt for the fact that the block has the little inward bowl shape it would have worked, are the ge blocks the same with the inward bowl shape? because if thats the case then that mean the NA filter stud has to be atleast 2 inchs long on the filter side

well i just researched and foudn out turbos and non turbos take the same exact oil filter, so atleast the thread pitch for my relocation plate is the same as what im looking for with the non turbo stud, so hopefully its long enough, does anyone know if GE/GTE blocks are indentical where the filter goes, with the inward bowl shape? im just worred about the GE blocks not being like that and the stud from toyota not being long enough
