ok so i got a few questions i was going to go with a ct26 upgrade to the 57trim. and it says to get it unclipped what is that and why? i thought clipping the turbo made it move more air. also i friend want to seel me a turbo with a t3/t4 flandge its also i garret 57 trim how much of a pain in the ass is it to but that one on my 7m and is it worth the power over the upgraded ct26

clipping will change when it spools and lower how much it flows. i never had an upgraded ct on my car but i think 10 degrees is "normal". the garrett turbo you talked about will need either an adaptor or a new manifold, downpipe, oil and water lines (if so equipped) . you didnt list any specs minus that it was a t3/t4 but it should flow more than a ct (even upgraded).

also, next time please use punctuation and space things out for readability....

10 degree clip will only help the CT26 at higher RPM.

&& It's obvious you don't know alot about these cars so if i were you i would
stick with the good ol ct26 for a while, No its not worth the pain nor money.

Not to mention you didnt list any mods or anything so i take it your still pretty stock,
dont go throwing turbos on your car because you want power, Thats not the way it works
and if you do start doing that you better be ready for your car to be down alot.

Could've googled it:

Don't get it clipped. Clipping is a poor man's way of increasing the flow through the turbine by actually clipping the exhaust wheel's blades. This reduces drag, but it ruins the aerodynamics of the wheel and kills spool, all for a little better top-end potential.

Garrett strongly recommends never clipping a wheel - just buy an appropriately sized turbo for your needs, don't screw with the turbo designer's millions of dollars in R&D that came up with the ideal wheel shape.

I agree with I6Boost, and things worth having aren't easy to get. Also, are you aware of the fuel mods that'll be necessary? I like that you're asking first before just doing things though. Just remember, when asking, make sure you let us what you want to acheive (like power goals, and when you want that power) and what you have (how far from stock you are).

Apexi AFC neo, 550cc injectors, and a 57trim ct-26 with a BIC ddp. You're good to go bro

to make well into the 400s range?

i think that should get you in the 450 range. anyone please back me up if im wrong. or if money is not an issue for you, look into the boss lipp sr series turbos from suprasport.com. they are a direct bolt-on for the mkIII and from what ive heard, they are good turbos.

Yep, the Boss series turbos are really nice, but I would suggest NOT getting a DDP if you ever plan on running a Boss Sr. or Jr.- I think a bellmouth style would be better.

if you buy a boss turbo, you always have the option of swapping out the boss ct hotside for a boss t4 vband hotside

So have you decided what turbo system you gonna be running? I would suggest you get a
1. ct26 to t3 adapter from ebay $50 shipped
2. Your choice of t3/t4 turbo Master Power,Garett, etc $600 shipped
3.Oil line kit , downpipe flange, 38mm wastegate misc couplers $250 shipped

For less than a grand you can make yourself a good kit that will suit your 450+ rwhp goal.
