Hey guys. My targa roof top has been driven over. I wont go into details but its the usual story of oops I didnt see it, and its my fault anyway for leaving it outside and not inside the boot. Lesson learned. (as painful as it may be)
Now I am faced with a problemo. I have a 86.5 Twin Turbo 1g-gte model... with no targa roof. I live in New Zealand, and we do have rain here... (it pounds like hell too) Since driving with an umbrella is not really an option I am off to try to get the parts. I have a few questions first.
1) Do all mk3 (maybe even mk4 (I'l be lucky)) roofs fit on to my model?
2) There is a very good chance that I will not find a roof in the country. What are my options then? I have thought of pannelbeaters around the place but I have no idea how much that will set me back as the roof is a true gonner. Is it possible to get one manufactured, or is that a completely suicidal idea?
Thanks for the answers in advance.
