My Supra vs Turbo Civic

Supra has a 1jz swap, Gt40 turbo, 264 cams, 18 psi, greddy e-manage, weight 3400lbs, 450whp and 432ftlbs
Civic has built b16 swap, 67mm turbo, 20psi, cams, 380whp weight 2200lbs

race was a 60 roll i let off a little before the curve while i still had 2 car lenghts on him

the 2nd race the civic jump the gun, but you were still on his ass and then stated to pull ahead. great job on the first race though and i dont think the civic was going to pass you.

second race i let off but then I saw he kept on going so I just floored it again we were pretty much even all the way.. we raced a third time and it was the same out come as the first race.
oh yeah that targa was holding me back..lol

Something doesn't add up here... you're pushing 132 hp per 1000lbs. He's pushing 173 hp per 1000lbs.

Was he having traction issues? Is the Honda a dyno queen, with 380hp for a very small rpm band? Are you actually running 540 hp instead of 450?

Was he having traction issues? Is the Honda a dyno queen, with 380hp for a very small rpm band? Are you actually running 540 hp instead of 450?

i think my gain over him is that im making 432 tq when hes only making 280tq or so

432 torque in a 3400lb chassis = 127 torque per 1000lbs.
280 torque in a 2200lb chassis = 127 torque per 1000lbs.

Should be pretty much dead even.

yeah i phone sucked but it better than nothing.......saw your post 2nd race i let go then saw that he kept on going so i floored it we were pretty much even all the way through the anlge of the camera makes it look diffrent but ill see if i line up another race with a better camera... hes been asking me to race him again you guys know honda owners always making excuses when they lose lol.....

haha pretty sick car, it looks alot like mine ironically. Except you got alot more ponies. After my other project is finished I'm thinking about doing a rebuild. I just need to find the right set of twin turbo's to replace mine with.
