I'm not a very good welder.. but hey.
My original rear subframe wasn't cracked, but it was corroded almost to the point of nonexistence, so I got one on car-part from south carolina. That one was in a lot better shape, but had cracks in the usual area on the front back and underside. I cut open the cracks with the angle grinder and welded them closed again, and then got started on reinforcing it. At some point I'll get some tubing to do crossbraces like others have done.
I did bang on all the welds with a hammer and none broke loose, so it's solid.
