I have been a member for a short while but didn't really introduce myself. I now have pictures I took over the Memorial Day weekend and I'd like to post them with another introduction.
My name is Darren and I moved to the States from Canada (Toronto). My love for the Supra started with the Celica when I was a kid in Guyana where I'm from. My dad's friend had a 74 Celica. When the Supra debut in 86.5, I was in Toronto and when I saw it, I fell in love with it even more. I finally saved up enough money for a down payment when I got a good break in my career. I was laid off from Women's College Hospital and funny thing, the next day, a head hunter called me to go work for the Government of Canada as a consultant (contractor) and the position paid twice what I was making before. This break allowed me to afford a car payment.
So, now I started shopping for a Supra. I looked at used ones first. Then my friends tried to convince me to look at other cars as well. I test drove the Probe, the 300ZX and the 240SX.
On a trip to Montreal, we saw a Supra, a 300ZX and a Probe parked in a line beside the road and that did it for me. I went to Graham Lexus Toyota in Ottawa in the fall of 92 and test drove a 92T, all white package and they were asking $42k. I didn't buy it. Then in February 93, I saw the identical Supra at Scarborough Lexus Toyota in Toronto. I went in there and test drove it and got it for 32K.
Then I moved to the US and brought it with me and have had it since. The Saturday I picked it up, I bought a bra and the next week, I took it to have an alarm installed.....get this, it cost me $550. (cdn) to have it installed.
So, here are some pics I took.

Darren.

Welcome to SM. The supra looks great. Not really a fan of the bra though. It makes me cringe to think of the difference in the finish, especially if it's been on for any length of time. Just my opinion of course. Interior pics?

I had a '91 exactly like yours and I couldn't stand that the center caps were a different color than the wheels.

Have you ever driven your car without the bra? They look so much better without them. It's not like she needs the support, so let her go topless and see how you like it. Gorgeous car.................

BTW, Dunkel is an expert on bras, so I would listen to him............:naughty:

I hardly use the bra and the only reason I bought it was because of the 4.5 hours drive from Ottawa to Toronto and back usually at night would see a lot of bugs stuck to the white paint. The bra helped a lot. For the most part, I have it off.
Now that I'm in Florida, I have the same problem with the bugs. I have not had the bra on for the past 5 years though and I just put it on for the pictures and after my wife commented that it looks good with it on, I just left it on.
As for the paint, I have my buffer and believe in Turtle wax to keep the paint looking good.
I'll have some interior pictures next weekend.

Darren.
