My rebuild

First I'd like to say - HELLO - as I'm new here - then I'd like to say - Where's the 1G-GTE in the list when you sign up LOL

Ok details about my car in a nutshell
Chassis - GA-70
Engine - 1G-GTE
Turbo - KKK K26
Wastegate - External stock 32mm audi (yes venting to the world )
Manifold - Custom thick wall steam pipe.
Gearbox - Stock W55
Clutch - Stock clutch plate - 2,200lbs pressure plate.
Intercooler - Stock 1JZ
BOV - Monza SSQ
Intercooler piping - customer 2inch steal

Performace with the above set up - 250rwhp (188rwkw) on 9psi!

The rebuild is consisting of:

The good stuff:

New rings and bearings
Pistons thermal barrier and dry film lubricated on top
Rebuilt head
New clutch (yet to be determined)
600x300x76 intercooler
2.5inch intercooler piping.

The bling:

New Metallic sparkly green paint
New head unit
New amp
New sound system in general
New remote start alarm with various cool features :biglaugh:

The old paint just pealed off with a scraper

Anyways - yeah Suze is my Supra buddy - always keen to lend a hand - or arm - or whatever is small enough to fit into those tiny little holes.

I've known of this site for sometime - thanks to Suze - but been too lazy to do anything about it lol

coool... if forget what the ga-70 bit means, it's a little smaller than the MA-70 right? I been wondering what a supra would look like in a metallic green, i was thinking a bit darker though.

yes info on ga-70 and 1G-GTE please. for those who are living in a 7m world.

theres a ga70 thread in the faq section... but basically same as ma70 but g instead coz of engine.... all ga70's narrowbody till 1990, no ga70's had electric seats (cept for lumbar and sides but no forward, back, down, etc)
came with a cool little 2L thats capable of 400whp or more
1ggte = 185hp 1986?
1ggte = 210hp 1989-1992
2L twin turbo ct12 baby turbos hehe

the way it works here 1.5jz > 2jz > 1jz > 7mgte > 1ggte > na

but they're cool engines and hunts done real good with his... where's ur last dyno sheet and 1/4 mile slip hunt!!

Don't have a copy of my dyno sheet on hand.....don't think......wait - here ya go ----> DYNO SHEET

Ignore the boost drop off. I have a total crap boost controller at the time.

But yeah thats my best dyno sheet and I ran a 14.04 @ 103mph

I'm hoping for around 200rwkw and stable with 220rwkw on a full noise power run - altho that might be pushing it for a stock internals 2 litre :biglaugh:

was ur car perviously painted with a brush? never seen car paint peel like that unless it was either brushed on or been in the sun for god knows how long.

I'm not here to make enemies - just playing!
Me and Suze have a constant argument where each of us should upgrade to the others engine!

The car was driven around for about a month in high-build before getting painted - hence why the paint didn't stick.
