Ok... I have a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo. At the moment, its parked because of a broken clutch slave cylinder, and break master cylinder. I figured that since I had to park it, I might as well fix all of its problems to try to limit the amount of head aches ill have later on.
Its current lists of mods are:
HKS 1.2mm MHG (Blown)
Port and Polished Head
Resealed motor @ 60,000mi (currently around 70,000mi)
Royal Purple 15w40
K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter
Cooleez Turbo Inlet Hard Pipe
Lipp High Flow Turbo Elbow
Aftermarket Air Filter
Koyo Radiator
Megan Racing Down Pipe
3 inches back to tip w/ 1 catalitic
W58 Transmission w/ stock clutch and flywheel
No EGR or Emissions
Well as listed above, the head gasket blew... Since i can't drive the car, I atleast start it up and let it idle, warm up... well since the fan clutch is a peice of crap, no air passed by, and the temperature went up... Long story short, my Koyo's empty and theres fluid in my head... nothing in my oil pan tho... Im concidering getting a 60,000mi 7M-GTE w/o the turbo, (its stock and supposedly wasn't mistreated), re-sealing the motor, putting another HKS 1.2mm MHG on it, and just throwing it in like that. Leaving it at 10psi and fixing the other problems it has such as springs, intercooler piping, and its slipping clutch... Im also throwing on some FAL Twin Electric fans w/ an HKS Fan Controller (<--- anyone know if this is good?) and an Apexi Super AFCVII... I figured that since i've upgraded the intake and exaust and am goign to fix the boost leaks, I should atleast try to get the car to run stoich/rich as oppsed to running lean. Anyone think this is a good plan? Im concerned about the fuel issue... I know im fixing all the air flow problems and im wondering if this will cause me to run lean @ 10psi. That and this supra's in for a road trip (miami, fl 2 waco, tx) and I dont want to have any surprises. Opinions, tips, idea's... :1zhelp:
