my new supra

im getting my new supra soon my brother came across this dealits an 87 turbo 5spd thats gunmetal with burgandy interior it needs a headgasket and a new turbo and a few hoses and some ic piping but its only 500 dollars it has tems and its also targa top so i think ill use the ct26a bb turbo to replace the other one and start from there so ill have my other supra also but ill be getting back in the swing of things with a 7mgte asking lots of ?s and getting as much info as possible ill post pics as soon as i get them they should be here later tonight:evil2:

Did you just say you had a bell bearing ct26? If so, I think we'd all love to see the pictures of this. BTW nice find, seems like as long as it has a bhg you'll get an excellent deal.

i also found another supra turbo that the body is shitty and the interior is crap but the engine is perfect also for 500 here is a pic of the ball bearing ct26a

That looks like a stock ct26, and stock turbos are not ball bearing.

is the ct26a not ball bearing? it came from a jdm toyota soarer

the ct26 is a shim turbo and the ct26a is ball bearing right? i may be confused

The CT26 Turbo(s) are all journal bearing....

No difference. BTW, I had a ct26a stock on my 89 engine. People get lazy sometimes and don't put the A, so they say ct26, but it's really ct26A.

oh i was under the impression otherwise ill do some research from the guys i got the turbo from and see what they say. if your right i appreciate the info cuz i would have went along thinking otherwise
