i just picked this up today. after watching it for about a month. i dont know if the pics will work. its a 85 p type i think. blue and silver. i got it for 200. the interior is shot. dont know if the engin or tranny works. i have a rebuild 7m ge. that i never thought i would use i think going to drop in in this. if nothing eles i'll part it out. cant really say what am going to do with it. over all it was worth the 200. there isnt any rust i found yet. it has 175,000 on it. i'll try to post more pics later

If you were closer I would make you an offer on that car. I have a Mk2 with a mint grey interior, a good drivetrain and a rusted body. I could make one good car out of them. Good luck with it.

Ask me how I know.

why what happend? when you regester a car here they just look at the bill of sale and the title. takes like maybe 10 min.

It's a long story, but let me just say that my car spent 4 months in impound, and I had to get the CORRECT title for the car before it was released to me. Hubby was arrested for it also.

Remember the ending sequence of the VIN is stamped into the cars body as well, it's not as easy as just removing VIN plates and pop riveting new ones. It's highly illegal.

The situation was good for me, because the car I swapped VIN tags from in the 1st place, was my own car. It came down to me swapping VINs between both cars that I owned, so the charges were dropped. No fines were incurred, and there were no impound fees.

However, if you swap VINs from a car that is no longer in existance, such as a junker, it will be perceived as fraud and you could get some big ass fines and jailtime.
