The more Teal mk3's I see the more I like 'em! Didn't really like that color at first... Good find man!

P.S. And as Bmettie posted above, the book style "manuals" for these cars are garbage and really not worth the paper they're printed on, any info you could ever need you can find online with a few quick searches and some reading.

Teal was only offered in 92.
That looks like Medium Blue Metalic just like my car (mine is also an NA too).

Good luck with the swap man!

don't do a 7m swap, go big or go home and get the 2j swap. the mounts won't match but you can fix that. wish i had an 89+ supra, that's when the 1j-2j motors were begun

Well, since he is at home, I guess he doesn't have to go big.
Go 7mgte if your power goals are 250-400hp, go 1/2J if you plan on making a monster out of it, and modding alot of stuff.

 go big or go home (says the guy telling you to get a 3.0 instead of a 3.0) :nono:

edit: was too agrivated by the ignorance here, I didn't even notice the comment on the mounts.... 2jz mounts bolt up to the 89-92 supra chassis (grind alignment pin off the under-side of mount to fit)

if you want to go hard, I'd say shoot for 700hp on a stock block w/ cams. it'll hold for a long time w/ the right tune, and that's about the deciding point for the r-154 trans. it may or may not fail. if you treat it with care, it might hold up. as for the rest... I think all you really have to worry about is the clutch (drivetrain durabilty in mind)

my 87 hardtop w/ 400hp was quick enough to give me a hell of an adrenaline rush... the targa tops I've had (currently have 1) feel slugish though... my buddy that's owned 30+ mkiii's says the targas are 800-1000 lbs heavier o_O

so, just saying you might out-do yourself.... maybe not. I just try to be realistic with the goals I'm setting.
