My moderate 7m-gte project

Well, might aswell share my project on this forum

This is a 86,5mod mkIII rebuildt to 7m-gte with manual trans.
My plan is to keep the good looking exterior as good as original and the interior aswell. The engine will get a total rebuild and the aim is to get my car running all day with 450-500 rwhp.

These are the parts iv bought so far, and will hopefully be part of my engine before summer 2011:

Vi-pec V44 ECU
JE pistons 8,8:1 comp 83,5mm
Eagle H-beams std lenght
Brian Crower stg 2 cams

I hope the engine will hold 450-500 rwhp for daily use :icon_bigg

Is there any possibility that you could get me a pair of those folding mirrors from your local parts department and ship to the US for me? I would love to have the folding mirrors on my ride without going the JDM route cuz the mirrors are focused for a right hand drive car. Lemme know and good luck with your build. I can't wait to see it finished!

damn.. wrote a long reply on that one.. and ofcourse i clicked the wrong post button... well, ill check in the norwegian forum if i can get any used ones, but i doubt it :/ fabric new ones is impossible in Norway cause they dont deliver parts for the mkIII anymore =( only parts i get is used ones and new ones bought fron the states

and about the project getting done... well, i hope i will be done till may 2011, but it doesnt look good.. im STILL waiting for BC cams, Titan cam gears and eagle h-beam rods iv ordered from sipracingmailorder.com
the camgears iv ordered in june.. think i'v waited about 2,5 months for the cams aswell..
Just hope i'll get them soon ;o

It's cool, man. Thanks anyway. I am looking into other markets that had the power folding mirrors and a left hand drive configuration.

the titan camgears and eagle rods was ordered for 6 months ago... the cams about 2-3 months. but i got them finally =D

a little update: the manifoil is about to be finished and the plan is to get the engine out in the start of january. I got about all the parts i need now, exept bearings and studs. if everything goeas after the plan i should be done in may =D

Been a while since i updated my thread. But im starting to see the end of the engine rebuild ;-) have to find a throttle cable that fit the PNT- intake, and wire the VI-pec v44 ECU, and we are ready for the first startup :evil2:
