My local track gets to stay open!

I got a link in an email today from my alderman expressing her thanks in my pointing out the importance of our local Race track today and city coucil voted 8 - 7 to keep the track open until 2015 min.

So thankyou also to all of you that signed the petition even though most of you don't even live anywhere near my area.

I can't believe it actually worked!

Good news for the track and bad news for those that love drainage ditches.

That's pretty good dude, I remember in the previous thread saying it was a dumb idea to close it. Glad some people saw sense.

Good to hear it Gord. I voted to keep your track open, and I don't even live in Canada. Shutting down your track would have been the worst thing they could have done. If the city didn't really have much racing going on, and the track did have run what you brung type legal drags and it wasn't really being used, then I might vote for the track closing.
