My GE has been sitting since 2002..

I recently picked up my first Supra last week. The oil pan has a nice sized hole in it and a small piece of what looks like a piston head fell out. Since I plan on swapping a GTE in, I really have no need for the 7m and was considering parting the stock pieces out.

My problem is the car has been sitting since 2002, and I don't know how comfortable I am selling parts that I am not 100% certain will work..

What would you guys do?

Maybe you should open the motor up and see the condition and as posted above, list AS IS

as is.. we know what we're getting into most of the time anyway with 20 year old parts lol..

Honestly I would't even bother..Its hard to get more than $200 or so out of a running 7mge.
If the piston is laying at the bottom of the oil pan your block is probably done..At best the head is rebuildable.
A bare head is worth about $50.00

yeah you're probably right. I've been looking for a 7mgte and decided to spend the funds I had on a bunch of other stuff. But I just came across a perfect GE block. Everything on it, for $70 so I might actually have a running car much sooner than I thought
