My first real Build !

Here we go finally; I just heard a terrible knocking starting last week.....I’m sure you know where this is headed. I kind of knew this was coming. So here are a few pictures to start you guys off with. The car is a 91 Turbo 5spd. Sunroof white package with blue leather interior the car has just over 100,000 miles and has good factory paint. I got a block from a friend (also a 91 block) and I'm building that until it ready to drop in. I'm going all forged internals....but I'll post more there once some of the parts start coming in.

yeah...I got a good deal for this too. When he put it up for sale I sold my N/A, bought this car.

yeah.... it's not going to be used so it no big deal. The engine is been sitting for a while my brother way cleaning ( pressure washed the outside) it up before we take it to the machine shop tommrow. It didn't get rained on or anything. The only thing that we are going to be using is the block and maybe the crank.

I'm going to do my build thread in a way that I hope helps out others.....I'm going to be putting pictures with almost every post , and I'm also going to include a running price list of everything that I buy for the car. When I started looking into this build it was very difficult to put together a cost for the build. so, for all you guys out there looking to do a build I will try to provide you with the most complete price list that I can. Hopefully this will help a few people out.

No, it's not polished it's just clean

The trick is to find one w/o the electronics, you only need the body then put your stock electronics in it.

um did you buy the lc-1 from drjones as used or new? also what kind of gauge came with it? is it one of innovate motorsports' gauge? btw car looks great. sunroofs are rare on these cars, and alot of people prefer a sunroof to the flex of a targa top, so i believe thats the number one reason for their popularity.

edit: upon further investigation, all but the xd-16 standalone kit are $290.

I have my block now:
all arp fastners mhg, je forged pistons, clevite 77 bearings, micro polished and balanced. 6m crank
The head is not bolted on, I just set it there to see if the rivets on the gasket would clear.
