chalk your tires, it will help you figure out what pressure to run in them. ask questions, learn, stay safe, and have fun! :icon_bigg

My advice is just to be smooth as possible. Balls to the wall, pedal to the floor isn't going to get you a good time on your run. Be smooth and in control. My other piece of advice is to gradually decrease your time on the runs. We usually get an average of six runs in at our local Auto-X and I try to use the first couple to just learn the course and wee where the trouble spots will be. Then the next four are where it counts.... :)

well i'm back, and first and foremost the car made it in great running order.

I had traction problems the whole time, but that being said it was my first auto-x

the fastest lap was 29.8 seconds
the average was between 32-34
and my fastest was 38.29

not too shabby considering once i got started i completely forgot to relax and drive smart, instead i ended up stabbing at the gas, and stompin on the brakes.... but i will do this again, it was such a rush and so much fun to not have to worry about smacking into a guard rail or on coming traffic.
I highly recommend auto-x or solo events to anybody looking to scatch thier itch for high performance driving... what a day, the average temp was like 29 degress and wind gusts of 20mph, but it was all worth the cold chills and ass numbing cold.

that's the result of the previous owner fubar'ing the original then rigging something up, i plan on painting the front end back like stock, at which time i'll procure a stock holder.
