Hi people...

This is a project i did a few months ago around new years. I thought i'd share some pics and if you guys have any comments or questions i'd love to hear them :)

I have carpeted the box since then.

Well i got another 12" JL at the A&B sound sale so i decided to go ahead and build my own enclosure with the help of a few friends.

Specs:
Built with 3/4" MDF.
4" Ported to tune to 20hz.
Offset T-Baffled to reduce standing waves.
Oxygen-free wiring inside the enclosure.
Insulated all inside walls of enclosure to further reduce occurance of standing waves.
Length/Width ratio is the Golden ratio (1.63:1)
The subwoofers themselves are set flush to the face of the enclosure. (they mount on rings that are set inside the box.

Also incorporated into this enclosure is a "quick-connect" feature... the 12V, Ground, and Signal wires simply plug in and out with the use of two banana clips and a modified molex connector (think computer connector)

Of course, all edges are caulked and sealed with professional grade wood glue and counter-sunk screws.

All that hard work! You built it, so you can fix it.

Good luck!

Like i said, it fits into the supra, so no fixing required.

And i didn't build it for looks guys :) that size is the mathmatically perfect and specifically designed to hit very very low, around the range of human hearing (20hz is what its tuned to, it probably gets as low as 25).

It was built to be extremely efficient off of a low power sub combo, works quite well and i plan to upgrade the subs and the amp later on down the road.
