so 2 days ago i got my car running.. but i mounted my fpr on the engine fuse box.. i took it off beacsue i had to plug in one more thing over in that area.. so i accidently set it on the battery. it touched the positive adn the alternator... well needless to say one of the stell braided lines started smoking and my buddy grabbed it and took it off th ebattery. his hand is all burnt but i tried to start the car and fuel pissed allllllll over so warning watch ur fpr...:1zhelp:

other than that i am just really excited to have it back. its been for months... most of my mods n stuff are in my sig but i have some goodies..lol

ill try and take some pictures when i have time.

so i gave it some treats,
break in period is i guess for the headgaskett. i guess it is a heat cycle but apperentyl if u drive 1000 miles your car will heat up and cooled off enough times to do this.. so yeah.. plus it hasnt ran and i need to take it easy on the 1st couple hundred.

I don't think you need to worry about breaking in the head gasket,, Just retorque it after a few heat cycles, especially if you used new head bolts..

I just take it easy on the boost for a few drives to make sure everything else is cool, like no oil or coolant leaks before you raise the boost..

Glad your running again. :)

yep. no break in required for a headgasket swap... put it in, torque it down, and get on it!

and re-torque after a few heat cycles, like joel also stated. i re-torqued after 1k miles. (and some were more loose than others!) this was with brand new ARP studs.

now, if he had replaced the rings, then i'd be concerned about a break in period...
