Hello everyone, this is my first thread on SupraMania so i thought i would introduce myself. My name is Ethan i'm seventeen and bought my first car about three months ago. It took me two whole summer breaks working full time to afford my baby but i did it. She's a bone stock(Even the radio is stock) 88 5 speed turbo targa Supra. A few pics

I luv her to death and hopefully will never part with her. When i first got it i was seriously surprised at the power it had. After owning her for 2 and a half months the Big end bearings have worn(great). So right now i'm rebuilding the engine(top and bottom), tranny and going to buy a rebuilt turbo. I'm leaning towards the 57-Trim. My goal is to have it all done by the time March comes around (No snow) I've researched everything and have come up with a list of mods that i want to do to my Supra after the rebuild.
$187 2.0 mm Metal Head Gasket,

$119 ARP studs,

$202 Blow off valve,

$32 Mounting Flange

$399 Divorced downpipe

$52 Re-routed wastegate pipe
http://www.bicperformance.com/products.htm
$600 3.5" BIC Thunder Exhaust,
http://www.bicperformance.com/products.htm
$97 Turbo Timer
http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/15500020
$17 Turbo timer harness
http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/15910003
$410 Boost Controller
http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/15500209
$73 Speed Cut Controller
http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/15590201
$535 RC Engineering 550cc Injectors (set of six)
http://www.suprastore.com/rcen55inseto.html
$239 Lexus Style AFM
http://www.suprastore.com/lestafm7msul.html
$150 K&N FIPK - Air Intake System
http://www.suprastore.com/knfipairinsy.html
$155 HKS 3000 Intake Pipe Toyota Supra
http://www.suprastore.com/hks30inpitos.html
$399 1987-1992 Supra Turbo Intercooler Kit
http://www.suprastore.com/19sutuinkitt.html

I would really appeciete ur input and help with my build?
Mostly how much hp should i expect? Am i missing anything? And for the record im not a careless punk who speeds around town racing anything he sees. I only do it when i think its absolutely safe. The reason i want more power is because theres a few Gt-Rs/300zx and supercharge stangs around that i want to put in there places.

Good looking car and Wow! You still have a fan shroud!!!

Ya its THAT STOCK, im kinda pissed off tho the original owner lost the plastic cover for the top of the engine that says turbo on it. i'm also kinda wonder if this is the stock color everything is this shade of red even the engine bay and inside of doors/hatch but i thought that 88s didnt come in this shade it looks like that 89+ red to me.

Coil pack covers are still available from Toyota. You could also maybe find one in the for sale section here or sometimes on ebay. People are often proud of them pricewise though. New from Toyota is around $80.

i would replace all the hoses as well when you have everything apart.

Welcome from another 604 guy. My name's Justin. Wont take you long to find out who all the local guys are around here. Watch for posts about meets, usually posted by Don (VanSupra). As for advice just make sure to not rush and cut corners. Take your time and replace all hoses, belts, do a good tune up and you should be good to go.

Randy is a super nice guy to deal with and his parts have worked great for me and I have zero complaints on price. My car is a JZA70 by the way so things like the intake wouldnt be applicable for your car but I do recommend getting one of his downpipes, test pipes, cat backs, whatever you need and he makes...buy it lol. And if your looking for something unique as well in terms of body work etc. he can help you out there as well. Check out tekdeus' widebody build on here and you can see the quality of work that Randy does.

I was already planning on buying a DDP and exhaust from BIC, Does BIC still make a 3" pipe i think a 3 and a half is alittle to big and unessasary.

my exhaust is 3 1/4" so 3 1/2 isnt that much bigger wont hurt anything.

Nice car you got there too btw

I do believe that he still makes a 3" exhaust. Best way to find out is either check out his website www.bicperformance.com or send him a PM.

Checked website didn't see any i'll PM him later. Please keep me up dated with events in the 604 area i'll be the youngest guy out but i'm sure it would be nice to meet fellow MKIII owners in our area.

Seriously though i would like some advice with the mods im planning. This guy ran 512 RwHp at 23Psi with similar mods, what can i expect from around say 18~20psi on these mods??? I really only want around 400Rwhp. Can i acheive this on the mods i've listed?

we should do a cruise before snow and before i park my car.:biglaugh:
