Just got my TTR Recaro seats in today. Best upgrade done to the car to date. Well, minus the 2J, but that hasn't been installed yet :) The car actually feels like a sports car now and looks a lot better without the retro headrest support. Absolutely love them! Cant wait to get it to the interior shop to recover them. Going with a different material combo on the front, rears, and panels since the original material has been discontinued. However, it will still be a black and grey color combo but the Recaro lettering will probably be in red since my car is red.

I love mine. Would take them over the normal stock seats any day.

I need to recover mine but I really like the fabric so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet. It matches the shadow grey interior very nicely. It's only the black part on the side bolsters that are tattered. Maybe they can just fix that part? I'm not very knowledgeable with fabric.

I have the whole interior though, so na na. :) Going from the blue interior of my old car to the full shadow grey/TTR interior feels like a completely different car.

This is as close to a real TTR that I'm ever gonna get. I can pretend right?

?
thats cause it is!

i know hes getting his redone joe.. and going to be selling the fabric.. its in pretty decent shape, can use it to redo your bad parts :)

I agree with you joe.. the seating position is perfect compared to the stock seats.. I'm so down to get a set.. just need to find a nice one.. not a fan of the ttr mats though.. i need the rear carpet too.. since my wood crap was destroyed..

they do sit a tad higher though.. just need to lean it back a tad though.. my head was touching the roof on his HT.. wonder if the targas are any lower?

eidt: oh i love the way they fold forward.. makes getting in/out the back/getting crap out the back SOOO much easier!

^^^ haha, Nash... :) I got that...

Hey Chris, what do a set of these run? Are they direct drop ins, or do you have to fab up brackets?

They drop right in Jake. I bought them for $400 and paid $100 shipping. I am redoing all of my interior so the JDM colors are gone. I will still stay in a two tone design like the originals but I want 100% match with the rest of the interior, carpet, etc. Since I am redoing the entire set, I sold the rear seats for $150 to Dr. J I plan to resell the seat material and door panel material on the forum. Figure people may want to repair theirs so they could use my material at a fabric shop since it is discontinued. Figure I can get $75 for the material from the front seats, panels, etc. That puts me at $275 to my door for Recaro seats :D

Doward,

No pics. I will take pics once the entire interior is done and the swap is over.

Nash,

Your shifter is top on the list. I love it!

Joe,

Super nice set you have. I wish the material would have been cleaner on mine, but I don't mind recovering them. 18 year old material is just waiting to start to sepearate.

Those seats look really nice annoyingrob - The question is, are they more comfortable than the stock leather seats?

I ask this because to this day, the stock leather seats are the MOST comfortable seats I've ever sat in. I could drive my Supra all day long, and never bother my back!

QFT!!! Im totally there with ya man... I LOVE to take long trips in this car, because my legs are comfy, my back is comfy and even my sides feel snug and comfy... I like the Recaros for sure, but I think I'll keep my stockers and rewrap them in suade or something soft... Leather + targa top + florida sun = sweaty back and hot seats... ;)

Long trips Jake? You still have a 7M right... isn't taking long trips in a 7M like playing Russian roulette?
