alright
first of all...the worst feeling you can get is
watching your car being towed away because
it doesn't want to move on it's own.

alright it started right up in the morning...the usual.
i went to the gas station. put 10 bucks in, went to go
start it and would crank, but it couldn't get that spark
to turn over. =0(

we started by seeing if there was any spark.
nothing was goin to the spark plugs, so we went to the
ignition coil. still nothing. mind you my car is sitting at
a sunoco gas station. so, we didn't exactly have all the tools
to play around with everything. so, i had to get it towed
to my friend's shop.

anyone have any ideas???
i hope it's something simple and cheap
...gotta have money for Hot Import Nights on the 16th!!!
whooo hooooo

thanks, t3d

is your starter relay clicking? the security system may have tirggered and gournded out the relay, when you turn the key to start you should hear a click, if you dont then the relay is grounded or fried.

if its a manual push start it to see if it will run, if it runs then i would check the security system. close all hte doors and then lock the driver side door, hold for a second or two, then unlock it, and hold for 1-2 seconds. try to start if. if you still dont hear the relay click, try the lock/unlock on the passenger side door. your driver side lock cylinder my be worn down and not making contact. if you still dont hear a click after doing the pass side door, you can try the hatch, but im not sure if theres a lock sensor there. look @ the 'theft deterrent computer" i think its under the steering wheel, im not sure though. pin 13 is the starter relay pin. it has a blue wire w/ orange stripe if i remeber correctly. cut this about 6-8 inches down the wire[so you can splice it back in later], and then ground it to the chassis. try to start it again, if you still dont hear a click... then it may be a bad relay....
