My 92 Turbo Vs. 89 Tt Supra

Well today is the last day to drive da car be for i put it in the garage for the winter:cry: ... so i went to put some gas in it and i grabbed something to eat.. well a couple blocks away from my house their is a mk3 89 and it is repainted wide wheels and n exhaust "that i know of" but it doesnt say turbo or n e thing. so one day i go to da house n ask if he wants to sell it he tells me take ur piece of shit car n get away from my house. i go ok w/e. so i am on my home from mc'd's and i se him in da supra. so there was a light bout 1/2 mile in front of us. well i was next to him and i roll down my window n go hey he replies hey nice car..... im like wtf now u wanna b nice huh ok. well we were driving about 35 ina 55 n he droppes n does a f'in racer flie bie...lmao . well i didnt hear ne turbo or n e thing so at da next light i got n he woooops my ass big time:aigo: im like wtf i know my car isnt dat fast but a non turbo c'mon... so we continue to drive home n he says follow him to his house n i go.. he pops the hood n i see twin turbo's im like damn. he is pushing about 460 rwp he claims but i got a new respect for dat guy n his car.... he also has one of those hiburon:1zhelp: gt v6 things with headers n exhaust n i gave it to him 4 car lengths when he was in dat:naughty: but dat tt 89 was great..... this guy is in his mid 40's to... i asked him y i didnt hear his turbo spool up or n e thing or ne bov's n he replied i got my ways of making it silent... ?how cvan u do that? ne ideas

my bad on the spelling i was in a hurry.... i went back to his house n tooka lokk again and it is one of those 2.5 tt supra's... he had imported it last january and by the way it is a right side driver... he also has it set up as a 6 speed:biglaugh: things bad ass:evil2:

i am going to go back over there n ask him if i can take some pics... all i know is it says has like a plaque type thing in the car on the left side passenger dash..... it reads "LIMITED 2.5 TWIN TURBO GT" . as i read the plaque it also said congradulations you are the owner of this limited 2.5 twin turbo gt supra. it is a 91 and it also says it is one out of 20 he's being number 13... he said it came with the six-speed from the factory... ill try n get some pics but the guy is a real ass.......

It didn't come six-speed from the factory...
In fact, I believe adi from the UK has a "2.5 TwinTurbo Limited" and it's the model with the most features - including a 4-speed automatic.

You can put the V160 on a 1JZ. You use a 1JZ bellhousing to adapt a R154 5-speed to the 2JZ; this means that the bellhousing bolt pattern is the same at the 1JZ and 2JZ blocks.

It sounds like this guy is lying, or the guy who sold him the car did alot of good work, but also alot of doctoring to get rid of the car.

Look at the torque #s typical low for the 1j if you had the hp #s on your 7m you would of took him with making more torque. His motor was also silent because he resurculates his bov back into the intake, like all our cars come stock.

i see. i think i could have actually had beeten him i mean when we went off the line at 35 we stayed about even but like when he hit ?4th or 5th? he lleft me 4 carsa:icon_conf i was even with him. also his car has heavy rims and body kit speakers and alot of goodies that way alot... but i wanna run with him again:evil2: i had the best jump ive had i had my boost at like 9psi and i think i would have wiped him untill he hit 4th or 5th if i was a r154 5 speed but i got this damn automatic:nono: but hes car isnt fast untill about 85 90... y is that....

ok imm pissed off now................ i go back over there like right after my last post and i wanted to take some pics. so i ask him n he replies ok... so i start to tell him about sm and he goes o dont take anymore pics. i go y. he goes that is just a bunch of "ricer fags" talking about ur cheap ass mk3's... by this point i was pissed. i have a permit and my mom was sittin in my car so she heard what he said n she knows all i talk about is how nice the people on sm are n my car n stuff. so this is what i told the dipshit.. i go my car is very rare and ur car is actually a piece compared to a bare stock 92.. and i started to tell him not to b.s me about his 6 speed and he said "u think u can do better".... i said i think this time i will kill you...( i had addreniline in me by this time) he looked at me n said ok tough one 100 dollars and i will go for it and if i win i get 100 dollars and ur mom... o man i was so pissed i walked to the car told my mom what he said and my mom replies race him.... so i did.. i live in mi and we went to telegraph and raced, this is how it went down... i never shift my auto except for once n now i know i have to... so i i put it in low and brake n gas up about 4 psi. the light turns green and i jumped 1/2 a car in front. the posted speed limit was 65 and at about 83-85 i was still have a car infront and where we were the road goes into a freeway so i didnt stop.... he hit "6th he says" and he came up about another inch:aigo: by 120 i shut it down and i was about 8 inches ahead............. i won:biglaugh: well we pull over off the freeway n he replies wow i lost to that heap....... he starts to give me the 100 dollars n i replied i dont want ur money i got my respect and i beat u.. put the money in ur car. ( i actually said go by a sticker like a ricer would) then i said the people here on sm are really nice and support every 1 witha mk3.. we arent ricers we appreciate the car and its power and history... u will never be one of us you will always b the asshole that thaught he was cool.... so as we left the lot i gave him a little smoke show into a drift closure as my mom gave him the bird:love: i love her and it was her 100 dollars. just to let u guys know i raced him for u guys. i am 15 and this has been the best expierence i have ever had. u guys are the best......:biglaugh: i appreciate all the help n parts i buy off of here and i thaught iw ould share this story... this guy is like 33-35 also

Damn Sweet Ending. I'm glad you didn't take his money that showed alot of maturity. On the other hand I remember when I was that young and I was fearless and use to race all the time. Please learn to respect that type of power. I know he pissed you off but your mom doesn't need to lose a son over an asshole like him.
Sounds like you know a little about driving, but please be carefull and know your limits.

Sweet Ending though.

your mom sounds like a badass, and you have wut mods??? if he said that about my mom i straight would have kicked him in the face and wailed on his ass. i geuss racing him was the better alternative heh.

and yea like he said, just be carefull in those situations allot of people would straight kick your ass or do other shit. dont get hurt racing allot, i started to, took some risks i shouldnt have and had allot of close shaves, you make allot of good friends racing as something fun and to a limit, but it can get EXTREMELY dangereous real fast with the wrong people involved. just stay safe.
