Dunno how crazy I'll get with the build. It's at about 80% of where I'd like it. Just plan on making a nice daily driver.

Planning to:
  • upgrade cooling system (ordered from Grimsta's shop)
  • targa seal repair (aka Supra Soggy Leg Syndrome)
  • paintless dent repair
  • Get A/C operational
  • set of rims
  • complete interior (prev owners were working on a black/gray scheme) I'm not fond of painted plastic tho...
  • audio system
Current upgrades: Full 3'' exhaust from turbo to tip, XSPower intercooler, K&N (removed ATM)

Thanks Natedog. No, I have not had it long. I picked it and an 87 shell up from a seller down in Tallahasee about a month ago. It's only a grocery getter at the moment due to a pinhole rad leak. That'll change soon... :)

nothin wrong with a grocery getter ha. is the 87 shell just a parts car or whats the plan for that?

The shell is stored at a friend's down in Perry right now. I won't build it, so it's just a private parts car for now and I won't keep it long. The prev owner bought the 89 as a basketcase and swapped the 87's engine to it. There's not much more for me to get from it, but I'm going to be certain before I sell it or part it out. Since I'm in an apartment complex in Macon, I had to rent a 10x30 storage unit near Zebulon Rd to keep the truckload of parts that came w/ the two cars! Sometime soon I'll tow the car to the unit too, just waiting on a friend w/ a trailer to become available...

I'm ok with mechanical fixes(and have a former Toyota mechanic bro who built up my old MkIII when I was in the Army) but never done any bodywork, so rather than keep it just in case of (more) body damage, I decided to fully insure my 21yo car, LOL!

ha good idea on the insurance. i bumped mine up too when i swapped my motor. i've built mine up myself and my roommate is collecting parts to do the same swap i did. so if you need help sometime let me know. we go to school in milledgeville so we're not too far away. maybe when you're done with the parts car and box o parts we might be able to take some off your hands.
