Hey guys its Sean,
So after 7 years of owning 5 different Supra's I have decided to swap my prized car with a 1JZ. I have had this Supra for over a year now and I acquired this car from a fellow Supra enthusiast for 3150. The car came to me completely stock and very well maintained. I immediately put on some goodies to make this car... well feel alive again.
First I lowered the car with a full suite of Tokico suspension parts: Tokico Illumina II TEMS adjustable struts, Tokico race springs, all new bushings and stoppers. Next I added full 3" exhaust and a bigger turbo. I had an extra CT-26 rebuilt by Turbonetics to a 60-1 spec with clipped wheel. I added a Cartech intercooler and FMU, I also added a Going SCD/FCD and a Apexi SAFC II. I then added NGK Iridium IX plugs and a custom set of Accell Racing Wires. A manual boost controller was added for the 1bar of boost pressure.
After getting it tuned and dyno'd the car put down 315whp, not bad for a 7M. I yet urned for more power, so came the problem of getting more power out of the 7M. But I have always wanted a JZ, well I sold my 7M for 2k and bought my motor set out of a JZA70. I have only dealt with Supra motors since I was able to drive, I knew that going for a JZ swap was a no brainer, I'm just a die hard 7M fan lol.
Well now on to the new motor.... I got the new 1JZ in very clean shape and found that the motor came with recently replaced CT-12a's and an upgraded ECU. I took the exhaust side of the motor apart and installed a 3" Y-pipe. I then decided the motor need a face lift. I pulled off all the aluminum pieces and glass beaded them clean, I then high temp clear coated them to keep them clean and shiny. I was going to polish the heat shield like I did on my 7M but I decided to paint it with a high temp aluminum color.
The exhaust side is done and put back together. I am painting the valve covers a dark gray with the timing and spark plug covers gloss black. The entire intake will be treated like the exhaust side and the whole motor should have that out of the crate look.... with a shine to it!... now for the pics

These are pics from just before the motor went in the car.

This is what crank walk looks like
I'll have more pics of the car in its current state. I also have a 3/4 built block that I need to take pictures off. Things are progressing slowly but alteast its moving forward.
