my 87 1jz vs 03-05 mustang cobra s/c

So it was a nice day and i decided to take the supra to work.... and on the way back a yellow 03-05 mustang cobra pulls up next to me....
we do a 50mph roll and at the 3 honks we go, we were pretty even until my boost kicked in by the time i shifted into 4th gear i was 5-6 cars ahead of him. I got off the next exit and he followed me to askwhat i had in my car that made it so fast and to compliment me...he had just bought the car 5 months ago and had a couple of upgrades and clamied he had 512whp. he was pretty cool not like the rest of those muscle heads

my car: 87 supra targa
1jz gt-40 turbo 15psi and supporting mods no cams on greddy e-manage blue im around 390-400

his car:03-05 mustang cobra supercharged convertible
full exhaust, chip, pulleys, cold air intake and other clamied 510whp

Yea This 1J does run pretty good, It ran wat? mid to high 12's at the supra meet at e town with a crappy launch if im correct? so idk i think ur making slightly more than 390 and 400 and i dont think the cobra was making 517.

But none the less this 1j runs hard and good and its a great kill to kill a supercharged cobra

thanks yea i ran a 12.7 with a 2.6 60ft in cold weather with 18in rims and 14-15psi...my track skills arent that good..lmao

Ok no we are talking because from high 12s to mid 11s heres a HUGE difference.

I saw him take a 04 cobra (quite a bit of mods) with both of them spinning from a 45 roll. His car runs hard as hell. I see no reason for him to not be in the mid 11s on pump after some seat time and a good launch on drag radials.

I really belive your car is a 12.2 on those tires u have now throw DR on there and i can see a 11.4 or 11.0 if u can get that 60ft down to 1.8....

And what speed did do u the high 12 with??
