I picked up my 86.5 a few months back for $500, the woman i bought it from told me the motor was blown.

When i got it home i checked the oil and there was none, so i put some in and tried to start it. It started but had a terrible rod-knock and actually blew up on the spot. LOL. My friend had video of it on his phone it was pretty funny. So the car sat for about a month or so while i looked for a replacement motor. Someone off of supraforums contacted me and said they were going to nj to pick up a 1jz and could drop me off the motor. When they arrived some things were missing/ broken even though they said i would bolt it right in and start fine. But i bought it anyway. Then i brought the car to my friends garage so we could pull the old motor.
(Let me notify you before you see the pics, my friends gf took them and she was trying to make them look "artistic" lol)

I found this wires running to it, the brown and yellow were not connected to anything, the red is running to the battery, and the two red and black wires were connected to the harness before the motor was removed.

The two red and black wires were connected to two different blue and black wires, that are on the harness.

one of the blue and black wires ran to a connector for the ecu, the other ran the opposite way under the intake manifold. I dont understand what the wires are for and why they are run to the hood lock, can someone help me?
