Well to begin with I am coming from an 11 second mustang I built from the ground up starting when i was 16 specifically to drag race. I ended up selling the stang becuase i dont street race and im to far from a drag strip to make it worth while so I bought an 88 supra turbo targa a few months ago in peices. While i may be experienced in high HP cars the import world is something i am new to and will be thankful for any input that will keep me from making costly mistakes with all of this. The car had been sitting for about 7 years and now i plan on building the car from the ground up. The engine that came with the car had the crank bolt broke off and a bunch of peices missing. I ended up ordering a jdm engine to start off with a decent engine. Before i put the engine in i am going to do a Cometic gasket kit with arp studs, gates racing timing belt, new clutch, silicone hoses and full inspection of the internals. I have a 3" stainless cat back kit and will be ordering a 3" DP with integrated o2 housing. I will be using an extra set of 17" cobra mustang wheels i have until i can afford to upgrade. I have new rotors and pads for all 4 corners. I have a set of Recaro seats that i will install when i refinish the interior and install the new sterio system. I will be taking my time with this car and doing it right while trying to maintain a fairly low budget project. I ultimately want to have a reliable 450-500 WHP daily i can hop in and do anything with. I will start taking pics as i go and post them to keep this thread updated.

Sounds like you have a good plan ahead of you and seems like your pretty familiar with money pits. Good luck with your build
