I want to burn a song thats in my collection thats on my hard drive, and want to send it to someone either by mail or email.. but I want to change the name of the file so that , when the person plays it primarily in there p/c I don't want them to see the file name, like the name of the group, or name of the song.

when I went to where the file was an tried to remane it, my p/c said it might get corrupt an wouldnt be able to play it ?

So what can I do ,,, ?
thanks , this is kinda important to me....

Yup. Leave the extension. Also, if its in your library, ie iTunes, WMP, etc, first copy and paste it (make a duplicate) to another location, like your desktop. Otherwise, the media player won't be able to recognize it if you change the file name when you try to play it thru your player. So only change the duplicates name.
