I just got a multimeter to test batteries, but just wondering what about electrical components in the engine? I know this is a pretty broad question, but what are some important things that I should test and how would I go about testing. I'm not expert with it, and I just want to get some experience with using it with more than just batteries. Thanks, anything would help out!

Ask about a part and I will answer off the top of my head the best I can. The repair manual lists resistance specs for just about everything, but that isnt the best way to check. Voltage is. The ECU produces a 5 volt refrence for most sensors. The sensors modify the voltage and return it to the ECU. The ECU determines correct pulse width and advance from those inputs, and frequency from the air flow meter.
