muffler HELP

i've got a 7mgte. 3" exhaust w/ a big fart can on the back.. the noise is kinda annoying and i hate getting pulled over for it.. i need a muffler that silences it enough not to get pulled over and wont disrupt the car's flow..

i was thinkin magnaFlow XL 3 -OR- Dynomax Superturbo.. will a shorter length muffler make the sound louder or quieter??

I got something like this at the local muffler shop (it is longer tho, about 36" IIRC) and it made a HUGE differance, it still screams at high rpm but is a lower and throatier sound at lower rpm.

i swear the dynomax is an amplifier lol staticpat had one on his old NA and it was loud as hell.

I have a Magnaflow 14819 w/ no cat. It sounds mean as hell but not loud enough to get pulled over. Several people have asked me if it has a small block.
