Did you compare them to the stock 7m wires? And by that i mean measure one and the OEM

Or do you mean short that they don't sit right on the spark plugs?

The iridium plugs, you by chance did not use the MKIV spark plug did you?

lol. Sometimes the MSD wires fit a bit loose at the coils/dist., so be sure you're getting a good contact at the coils. I had to open the contacts up a bit on my n/a to make them fit the dist. right.

Just changed my wires today. Except I got NGK's. I thought they were going to be short too. haha. Plugs and wires are such a pain on these cars. I did not put the plug holders on the coil pack because they were all broken. But I'm afraid that they might back out.

My MSD 8.5mm work just fine.
When I got my set, there was one that has the plug connector end glued to high on the wire and didn't allow it to seal to the 3rd galley cover. I contacted MSD and got just the replacement one, #4 or #5 don't remember.
Been working just fine ever since.

edit: and #32629 was the set I got too. and i don't use the holders either.

yea, mine are a tad snugger than the bosch ones that were on there. but i think the bosch's were kinda a "universial" fitment. idk. but i love the msd's
