Hi, I can probablly get my hands on a ct26 from an mr2 and I'm wondering what are the differences between the two. Do you guys think it would work and work properly on a 7m? Would it be better or worse than stock? Thanks.

Same a/r exhaust housing.

Twin scroll inlet.

Twin wastegate door.

Same a/r compressor housing.

3 mounting holes for different wastegate actuator positions.

Same turbine.

Smaller compressor wheel.

Center bearing housing has a larger cooling chamber internally and no heat shield under turbine wheel.

there are 2 variants of the 3SGTE CT26. well, 3 technically. there are 3 generations of the 3SGTE

1G; single scroll CT26, smaller exhaust AR, same turbine, smaller compressor, same cold housing

2G: twin scroll CT26, "larger" exhaust AR, same turbine, smaller compressor, same cold housing

3G: referred to as the CT20B, but not a real name used by toyota. thats about all i know.

I had pondered a Sequential 7M-based CT26, except using the 1G 3sgte hot sides for quicker spool on 1.5L exhaust volume. 600rwhp on pumpgas would be the heat!

the divided inlet MR2 turbo is the "Twin entry" twin scroll version from the 2nd gen MR2... yet again.

if you are desperate, you can get a regular T4, slot the bolt holes and itll bolt right up to the stock manifold. this is how SP makes bolt-on turbos.
