Any good suggestions? Im in the market to buy a new mountian bike. I havent owned one in 7 years, since my last one got stolen, and i got my car about a month after. I definatly do not want full suspension down hill. I ride (rode..) more freestyle, and hardtail was perfect for me. Thanks!

I have a Diamondback, I go regularly, it performs well.
I wouldn't recommend getting a Trek or similar, you pay extra just for the name, its not worth it.

Check out one of your local bike shops and see what they have in stock. Pick their minds, see what they say.

I have an older GT suspentionless , and it never did me wrong and i beat the shit out of that bike. The only thing i would do is add suspension to the front.

Best upgrades I can recommend are tires for less rotational weight (makes a HUGE difference).
As well as correct sprocket matching, nothing worse than having the wrong gear combination.
Also depends on what kind of riding you are doing.
