Moulding replaced but the "Toyota Supra" looks different

I got my moulding replaced at a body shop because a lady side swiped me. They ordered the piece from Toyota but it looks different. Take a look

HAHA! Thanks guys! Yah idk i just got it replaced and it wasn't white under there and i was like ".........." But I thought it looked pretty cool too. Do you think it was a manufacturing mistake?

I am going to guess they remanufactured the molding some time after 89+ and decided to change it to make it easier or cheaper.
