Motor is surging!

okay so basically, my 89 supra is running there at idle. then i go to press the gas pedal slowly to rev it up, and when it reaches about 1500-1700 rpms, it wants to sort of die and go down to idle, then go up, and keeps repeating. anyone know what could be a cause? is this a common happening?

ahh okay. well that is what i was thinking as well is injectors so, i will check on that.

and as of boost leak..how do you go about checking that? because my boost gauge does not work, and yet to have fixed it....

boost leak, at 1.5-1.7K RPM? mmm not quite.

besides boost leak check your timing and check to see if you cam is aligned properly at top dead center if you touche the timing belt
