Well after a little over a year i am finally going to install the motor back into my car. It is a 7MGTE and R154. I was just curious if you guys out there had any tips or tricks that would save some hassle and what not. Anything would be appreciated.
thanks

Take your time it's NOT a race

Have a helper watch closely as it lowers as you can easily do a LOT of expensive damage if you rush

Buy/Borrow a load leveller

Use thick carboard over the fenders and nose and if the engine touched it at all STOP and check angles/heights.

Make sure you use a 2 ton hoist and not a 1 ton, if you can. The two ton has a longer boom so this prevents any scraping etc of the bumper if it is not off the car.

I really don't think there is "tricks"...only 1 way to install a motor, and that's the right way (by the book). Although 1 tip is to have the wire harness installed on the motor first before putting it in the car...makes pluggin in connections much easier.

Also have as much crap installed on the motor such as intake, exhaust, other bullshit...

Have fun and take your sweet Jesus time on it and get it done right.

awesome thanks for the input. I made the mistake of pulling it separately but dropped out the tranny afterwards.
