I have a 7mgte in the garage and i have no idea where it came from. How can i tell what year and car modle it came out of? Should there be a casting on the block or some other identicfication number on it?

if its a 7mgte then it came out of a supra and only a supra.....later model 7m motors had extra webs to make the block stronger...you may or may not see ridges on the side of the block that are directly over the cylinders.
