I finally decided to start my build up thread, even if this might go a bit slow but it takes time to take out rust:icon_evil

This car was my dad's, from 1988 to 1997, but his old 72 celica was in the garage at the beginning.......and the supra in the garage way (sorry dont't know how we call this in english) facing the winters.

As soon as I realised what a nice car it was, and that I wanted it I called the junkyard and byebye celica:naughty:

I finally started the engine 2 weeks ago, after changing all the fuel and brake lines, the whole tank and the pump.

For the body part, I started with the worst part: around the windshield, that I took off.

As you see it's pretty bad...specially where the sand went thew the first sheet of metal:cry:... hope the rust won't be back to soon, but I believe to make a couple a years rust free :x:

The brake system was pretty bad also, so I have to rebuild the calipers, change all the lines and hoses of the rear.
I've done 1 caliper so far,mhh not so easy to put the main dust boot and it looks pretty good.

Can't wait to put in on, but first I got to finished that windshield rust...
Then a new paint will be necessary, still not decided between good ol' white or black.

I'll keep adding new pics as long as the projects goes, might be long but I love to work on this car, even if it's to throw sand at it for hours :icon_razz

Rust is like cancer. If you don't get rid of it all it will come back. You either need to cut it out completely or grind it off till you see sheetmetal otherwise you're wasting your time.

Good luck with the restoration and thank you for saving another supra!:icon_bigg

Need more pics though if you have any. A visual crowd Supramania is.
