Yep, a copy of the Mag. Pan that IJ has from Moroso at under 250.00 would be a very nice deal for sure. (Holding about 8 quarts of oil too if possible, then I could run even MORE oil... LOL)

Seriously though, I looked at the price of making a dry sump pan, and external oil pump/scavange pumps etc, and it was just not worth it v/s going with a Canton Accusump and remote Mecca filter setup. I compared the stock 7MGTE oil pump to a high volume/pressure pump for a Chevy V8 engine, and the gears were very close in diameter and height, so assuming similar drive speeds to those gears, the oil flow/pressure is not the problem on the 7MGTE. The weak pump bypass, and restrictive banjo type fitting for the crossover pipe, and I belive the small passege from the block rail to the oil filter base are the places where oil flow/pressure is lost on most 7M's. That's my opinion anyway. My solution was to take Figgie's crossover pipe mod to the extreme, and then ditch the whole remote adapter issue out of the box, and just use AN10 fittings out and back in again. (Along with the AN10 crossover line, and modified oil pump for the larger lines, plus some porting work to the pump. Shimmed the pump bypass, and I'd hoped for much higher oil pressure.) Problem is, so much pressure is now causing problems when the car is cold as the oil pressure is so high it's pushing oil past the turbo seal... LOL If it's not one thing, it's another.)

Cold pressure is about 80psi.
Hot is just about 20psi at idle.
Cold max pressure is over 120psi.
Hot max pressure is about 80psi at the Accusump gauge.

Sounds like another money maker for Ron to me.....

If he could get the flange CNC'd, the rest would be gravy. What do you say, Ron? I'll be glad to be your guinea pig...:icon_bigg
