Pics tonight!

So yeah, I dedicated this weekend to the Supra. This working MWF till 7pm, and T/Th till 9pm is leaving me *no* time to work on my car!

Things to fix this weekend:
Leaking transmission pan
Leaking rear transmission output shaft seal
Change Oil+Filter
Remove 198k mile stock exhaust
Install 3" elbow I got from Suse some time back (thanks again!!)
Install 3" single piece exhaust, from the elbow back.

Just doing some work on my baby :)

What the hell, I'm taking a break anyway :D

A Supra on jack stands? No way! Gotta be a hoax! :p

Here's why I started this - bastard leaking tranny pan!:

Changed it with a spare NA pan I had - notice the spots are not there for the magnets (though I did put the 4 into the pan):

Hell, while I'm at it... mightaswell (I get them pretty often ;)) - replace the rear tranny seal (had a small leak there) and change the oil - notice the oversized M-209 used ;) :

I've always used 15w50, but with winter here, it's cooling off a little - so I'm going to see what my oil pressure looks like, with 10w30 (oil presure before was ~42 cold, ~15 warmed up, and ~35-40 cruise):

Screw it - this is SUPRA WEEKEND DAMMIT - AND MY 3" EXHAUST IS GOING IN! Good thing too, as you'll see in the next couple pics:

Wtf?? WHAT THE HELL? HOW THE HELL DO YOU INSTALL IT BACKWARDS??:

Damn good thing that I'm replacing the exhaust then. Hope that in 2 weeks, I'm doing better than a 17.8 when I hit the track again. This is the replacement:

And thanks to our resident Suprra_grl ;)

Everything is complete, except I need to get a new nylon washer for the oil pan drain plug, and actually install the 3" exhaust system.

Oh yeah, and refill the fluids ;)

Considering I'm doing 3" elbow, downpipe, AND catback all at once... I hope for a big boost in performance!

You'll be pleasently surprised at the performance gain of a good DP.

The old battery on concrete myth...batteries of our era are OK to be stored on concrete, you can't "lose" charge capacity through the new polypropylene casings like the old rubber batteries of the 1950s. I've stored many 'a new and used batteries on the shop floor with no problems.

I do believe you about the battery thing but It has killed a few batteries of mine in the recent past. They were all either interstate or Autosport batteries...could be my bad luck i guess.
