Hey fellows,

Don't post here much due to school and work. Anyway I've always had this problem but now it's just annoying. Anytime I press on the throttle and run over 3k RPM or I'd say 5 PSI and let off I smell gas. This is with the windows down. If the windows are up it's not nearly noticable. ANy guesses?

I've tried intake leak test, no rpm response when carb cleaner is sprayed near it.
No cats, or muffler, to windy with the fan to find an exhaust leak near the turbo manifold. No leaking fuel lines that I see?
ANy other suggestions. Maybe EGR stuff?
HKS BOV.<--- if I have to I'll take it out..

This may be related but I can't press on the throttle more than 50- 75%.. It will cut the fuel or hesitates.. New fuel filter..
Has HKS fuel computer (Previous owner)

Hopefully someone can understand this and help me out.

That is the charcoal canister. There is a line that runs from it to the thermostat housing, then from there to the throttle body. This takes vapor from the gas tank and vents it into the throttle when the engine is at operating temperature. If any portion of that isn't working, or is leaking, it could get sucked into the cabin - especially if the rubber grommet that takes the engine side wiring harness through the firewall is damaged or missing.

I had gas smell in the car... it was the fuel pressure damper.. the diaphram tore a hole and leaked gas out through the sides of the top plastic cover thing..
