It may lean you out some, but you'll have 2 problems:

1) the ECU will sense the increased airflow and add fuel.
2) Unless you have a Lex AFM, you'll hit fuel cut at ~12 psi

Worth mentioning - if you start pushing a stock HG (especially the orginal one), you are asking for a BHG ::bhg::

Edit: Sorry bout that...didn't realize he had a 1G-GTE :3d_frown:

here's a better idea if you want a fast car.

if you convert the 1ggte to a big single, you'll only make around 250RWHP (with supporting mods)

and that' cost a Decent amount of money and custom work

Drop a 7mgte, with VERY little mods you can easily get 250rwhp

1ggte is a joke no offensive i wouldnt mind a 1ggte car if i bought it for cheap and used it as a DD

Long story short, you want power Cheap and easily, get a 7mgte

The "little" 1g-gte used to be able to be upgraded to 2.5L It was made by hks iirc. Go single and I think youll get 300 horses with supporting equipment. I wish i could get a 1g-gte. Dont have big bux to spend.

Uhm ok

Could careless about a 1ggte.

the cost of the stroker kit must be expensive, might as well get a 7mgte

i know some fact's because i was wanting to build a 1ggte and let people know that small motor could get some balls, But gotta make custom everything, alls they sell for it is a Clutch, parts would be very hard to come by

so :D

or you could also put 1jz twins on it. turn up the boost..... but like i originally said, 7mgte=more power cheaper

sure you could make it fast, you can make anything fast with money, but if u want to save money get a better motor and more powerful... go with a damn 7mgte

why would anyone wanna swap to a 1g and if you want cheap easy power swap to a 1jz gte and do intake exhaust and boost controller and in lot of cases a large front mount, you'll break 300hp no problem and have a reliable and unique platform in the U.S. anyways.

So you're using information from a friend of a friend? You don't have a 1G with a single turbo setup? I drive mine daily with a single turbo, the only way I would make 250hp is if I cut my boost in half.
All the big companies such as HKS and GReddy in Japan make just as many parts for the 1G as the 1JZ. There were probably 20 different turbo kits produced, three full supercharger kits I've seen first hand, internals, two stroker kits, cams, cam gears, TRD OSGiken and ORC clutches, electronics, you name it and I can get it. If all anyone wants to do is push the 7M or 1JZ that's their prerogative, but new people search these forums everyday and I'm tired of people spreading rumors and perpetuating the stereotype.
If anyone has to ask why swap to a 1G without expecting a serious answer then you wouldn't understand.
