How much power can a stock 1jz bottom end hold with upgraded MHG and head studs?

What brand MHG?

Will ARP head studs for a 2jz fit the 1jz?

The stock HG is fine. You don't need to 'upgrade' it.

ya, you shouldnt need to replace the HG unless you take the head off. and yes 2JZ head studs fit

I've pushed the stock headgasket past 23 PSI, on stock bolts. It can take more but I would rather change the bolts to studs first.

Stock 1JZ HG is metal. 3 or 4 layer MLS to be exact. It will handle lots of power. I've seen people well above 500whp, and having no problems.

Going to studs. Also plan on running a pair of GT28RS "disco potato" turbos on it, and seeing what kind of power they'll give me. Just want to be sure my bottom end can handle it.

Titan motorsports said the 2j arp studs are the same when I asked them.
