Moon/Sun Roof Question

Not sure if this should be in this section; but, I made it to the meet this past weekend and saw a couple Mk3's with a moon/sun roof.

Was this a rare option?

Will Toyota install one in my hard top now and any idea of the cost?

I want one!!! :naughty:

it was a dealer/port installed option up until 91 when it became a factory option. from what i have seen on the dealer install jobs your better off getting a 91+ car and having it done right. buggy electronics, poor seals, etc seems to be the name of the game on the other ones.

You're definitely better off actually getting one that had it from the factory, so either a 91 or a 92.

mines an 87 with a sunroof, and the electronics occasionally bug out (the close button wont work for like, 30 seconds every couple days) and the seals dont shut as tight as i want them to. some water leaks through when i go through the car wash haha. nothing to complain about, but its definitely nice to have!

another thing to remember, most dealer installed (pre 91) sunroofs are glass, where factory (91-92) were metal..
