Alright well I was just hoping that some of the people on here that are either in college or were in college might be able to givem e some ideas on how to make some money while in college.
Im not looking for some magical get rich idea, just a way to make some money to spend and buy groceries and hopefully put some aside to save.
HEre is my situation. I currently have no car so getting a job off campus isnt really an option although i have put out applications for jobs that are close since i could bike.
I just need any ideas to make or save some money.
thanks alot
Ryan

Well.....Find a job.

All colleges have some sort of center to assist in finding jobs.

If you are getting financial aid, ask for more aid then what you need for living expenses.

If none of that works, sell drugs.

I worked at a movie theater- I was the senior projectionist. That was an excellent job. :) If I ever win the lottery, I'll be a projectionist again for sure. I miss that!

The biggest thing i can say is if you eat out, stop doing it. It is the biggest waste of money that there is and if you have to live off of ramen. I was there it sucks but it is worth the time put in it. But the biggest thing is to find a job or take out more student loans if you cant get a job.

Donating plasma was a nice cash boost when I was living in the dorm. On-campus jobs are good, plus if you get a job as an RA it'll cover most of your living expenses, dorm/food, etc. Make good grades and land an internship over the summer, attend every job fair you can and make as many contacts as possible.

I worked in a cinema and managed 2 medical centres whilst at uni.

If you look hard enough, you WILL find a job.

If you're academically talented, you can tutor younger students - this is VERY lucrative.

I'm in the same boat.

So I'm losing weight and getting ready to enlist in the Army.
If I understand the recruiter correctly, I'm gonna enlist and get my enlistment bonus this spring/summer, then finish up my bachelor's degree next fall, graduate and get direct commission (and a second bonus), then let the army put me through med school, put in my 20 years (which will start with Basic, so I'll accumulate while in med school), and retire at 41, then start working in the civilian sector while I'm pulling retirement.

Thats the plan at least. Nothing is set in stone, but I am prolly gonna do it.

I kinda miss my old school job at Wolf Camera. I was pullin around $14-$15/hr with reasonable hours before my stores closed down.

It is hard, but just try hard, and it will pay off.

Since starting college, I've worked 40 hours a week for the past 2 years and havent had a weekend off in over a year. It sucks, but it will pay off in the end.

The beautiful thing, is that you don't normally need to be. A lot of people are just looking for bodys they can train.
