Modify the stock ct26 boost actuator to hold 10psi?

Good evening my fellow brethren, I was doing some tinkering today with a manual boost controller and found it unsatisfying, as the pressure on the actuator side will eventually see the 5-6 psi. I don't like this, and in fact now I despise M.B.C., its probably the fact that i just started with this and don't know S--- about boost actuators. It may not be working correct, but it goes to 10psi very fast and then slowly drops to 6 and holds it.
So my question is, can or has anyone tried to mod the actuator with maybe 2 stock actuator springs?
if not can any one see any reason this would not work? I understand its not going to be a simple as just adding another spring. but it seems to me in theory it should work with some R&D and a little patience.
I want to say to all the detected personal on here, Thank for the info and time spent on making it open to all who seek it.

It's just a grainger valve mk2. The mk1 was a dud. Nothing special as I like to fab as much as I can.

common mod is to shim the actuator with washers to put more tension on the spring, but that requires alot of messing about to get the right tension. i suspose you could use a new sping set to the right tension, and go that route

So I take it with a external waste gate, you can buy one pre set and not have to worry about a "boost tee"?
I think I will at least try this and see if It works. I have 2 waste gates and a welder so why not try?
