damn, ive been asking a lot lately eh? sorry about that. anyhow, i was checking out SS's new high flow fuel rail (nice work btw). i liked it quite a lot, but its design got me thinking.... is it possible to plug the entry ports on the top part of the stock fuel rail and drill out holes for new entries like the one SS made?

well you can but you will still be limited by the internal diameter of the OEM fuel rail.

ninjaedit:

oh wow price is not bad at all actually. that is exactly half of what powerhouse used to charge for thier fuel rail and power house uses extruded aluminum.

Isn't the stock fuel rail like half an inch inside? I'd love to know how many ponies the engine is making when you need more flow than that.

i honestly believe it has enough space inside to flow enough fuel. i think wat restricts it are the banjo bolts used in stock trim to feed it fuel.

hm, i hate dilemmas.....

ok.... so either make a style similar to the SS model, or make the stock holes bigger?

it should be able to handle quite a big amount of power nicely, i just dont like the stock bolts that go with it ;)

i like the straight through look better :D

the problem is not power

the problem becomes how much of a restriction does it become.

if the pump can pump 42 psi through out the system without any additional resistance that would be ideal. Start flowing alot of fuel in the stocker and then resistance increases which can cause the fuel pump to choke alot earlier ;)

dr. jonez made a dual feed, center return fuel rail out of his stocker, if i remember correctly. i'll do it, one day, perhaps.
