stock on the na were:

front- 225/50/16

rear- 245/50/16

there arent a lot of choices for wide tires on 16's since most are 16x7

i like bfg g-force sports. they also make 255/50/16 which is what i run. but some dont like that tall of a sidewall.

I'm running BFG Gforce Sport KDW rears in a 275X40X17 and the same on the front in a 245X40X17

Fills in the wheel wells nicely.

There are some wheels for sale supposedly off of a JDM Twin Turb MKIII. They look just like the silver painted MKIV wheels but all 4 are 16x7 with a 44 offset. I think I may have to buy them cuz I would be able to put the 225 50 16s I just replaced. I have 3 crappy apex wheels and a full size spare as my wheels now and would love to have some decent rims on my car.

So what exactly would the 44 offset do when it comes to how the wheels would look on my car? Imma go read up on it right now but if someone wouldnt mind givin me an explanation that I could visualize Id appreciate it.

i would go with the mkiv wheels. with a 225 tire, you will have trouble getting traction is minimal modifications. go with a little wider tire and you'll thank me later

well you can run a 245/50/16 on a 16x7 wheel with no problems. and as previously stated there is not that big of a wide tire seliction for 16 inch rims. i have mk4 na wheels now but because you can hardly find any decent tires any larger than 255 i don't think it is worth it to run them unless you really like how they look or have some 11 inch drag radials or slicks. just my opinion.

the biggest 16" that i know of is the new mt drag radial. they are 315/45/16

i run 255's in the back and thats a limited selection. but atleast most of those are decent "performance" tires.

245/50 you can find all day long in multiple tires.

MT makes a 255/50/16 and a 26x11.5x16 as well. i wouldnt mind the 26x11.5s at all (dont make enough power for them yet)

If you change your mind, I know where you can get a set of MKIV n/a's w/ tires. :naughty:
